Sunday, August 4th: Services in Lome

Sunday morning started out with services in Lome.  Lome has a population of about 850,000, with it's metro area having around 1.5 million people.  They estimated there are maybe 700 believers in Togo, living in the following locations:  Lome, Adetikope, Amlakope, Sanguera, Dokplala, Game, Tchekpo, Ahepe, Tabligbo, Akumape, Kpalime, Atime, Kuoma, Bena Plateau, Badou and Kessibo.

Several people have asked if we visited Nicholas while here.  Unfortunately for us, he was in Gambia on a mission trip.  He did stop by our hotel briefly on Wednesday morning to say hello.  It was fun to see him for that few minutes.

I tried to capture the surrounding scenery for some of these congregations . I have seen many pictures of the church buildings, but not the setting.  The minivan driving down the street ended up being Ignace & Katie & family arriving for services!

It was so fun to see Ignace & Katie and their adorable children in this faraway country!

Some of the youth/ young adults from the Lome congregation.  It seems like this congregation had quite a few youth and not so many families.  Their Sunday school has about 20 students.
