Sunday, August 11th: Services in Accra

One last view from the balcony.

The gatekeeper, Michael.  In came the chickens with George and Joseph!

The Accra congregation is the largest in Ghana.  They think there are around 300 believers in Ghana and 10 congregations:  Accra, Amasaman, Kordiabe, Peki, Hatsukope, Aveyime, Kwasi Tenten, Prestia, Nsawam, Ashiaman Atadeka

Baptism

Accra congregation.  There were many here from visiting congregations as well as some of George's relatives.

Communion

The family with the baby that was baptised.  After church, the congregation women gave her a gift.

The Accra congregation youth gifted these to George - the drawing done by one of them - and sang his favorite song for him.

These three attended confirmation last year and had special greetings for all of the Americans that helped at their confirmation.  Kekeli, Eugenia, and Mensah

And off in this quiet corner of the yard, Ernest our driver wanted to hear the gospel.  God is good.

Joseph's son, Elom.

The Accra congregation has been searching and praying that they could find new land to build a new church on.  They have had two other congregations locate in the same courtyard they are in and it gets to be quite a racket during services.  They have been able to invest in a nice sound system that has made it possible to continue hearing what is going on in the services.
