Breakfast at our hotel. Marco came and joined us for breakfast. Marco is a speaker for the Badou congregation, I believe.
It's a beautiful country!
A young rice field
Gathering for Sunday school.
Dad spoke & Emmanuel translated
Just like at home, the kids here like to make many trips to the "drinking fountain" and bathroom during church. 😊
With Emmanuel. I'll just take this brief moment to note my appreciation for all of his patience and kindness during our stay. Emmanuel did not feel well during our trip. Yet he continued to answer my many questions. He did draw the line at sharing with me the political state of Togo. Emmanuel facilitated all of our lodging and food arrangements and coordinated our travel schedule. His efforts helped our trip go smoothly and very enjoyable!! I know there were other behind the scenes helpers, too, and they are all very, very appreciated!!
Tero helped the soccer ball game get started.
These girls were having fun taking selfies.
After services, everyone works together to take the tents down.
Atime congregation rents out these tents and chairs for events and are saving that money to fund a more permanant service structure. It is fun to see the fundraising work going on here, too!
I don't remember this girls name, but I remember she's 7 like Nora and she was shy to show me her smile because her tooth was loose.
I'll just post these videos at the end here if anyone is interested in watching whatever random videos I took.
